Gatekeeping in Television

 

 

    Television has fewer gatekeepers than film and print media.  One reason for this is that there are a handful of media corporations that dominate the television market.  In the mass communication model, feedback is generally slow.  If there was a way to get feedback to media corporations quicker, this would alter the way television gatekeepers dissiminate information.  Television would be more interactive and the audience would have more control over the type of content that is broadcast.
