Gatekeeping on the Internet 

    The internet has provided a channel to organize and combat issues that gatekeepers deem unimportant. It is a great opportunity for grass roots movements to inform the masses of policy or problems that need ratification.  The internet is a great place for alternative media to present itself and its ideas to the masses.  Websites like You Tube have revolutionized the way we consume media.
